E-scrap recycling plant

New E-scrap recycling plant in Greece

The plant is designed for a performance of 6 t/h and equipped with a new shredding technology for gentle opening of large electronic units like washing machines, dish washers, electric cookers, vending machines, switchboard cabinets, server stations and many more.

The incoming E-scrap is fed by conveying belt or gripper directly into the funnel of the special shredder. By the working method of the machine no manual disassembly of the input material before the shredding process is necessary. Only solid steel parts with material thickness of more than 10 mm and large electric motors (>15 kg) should get sorted out.
The input materials (up to large devices max. 450 kg) are caught by the shredder and gently “opened”. The piece size after shredding depends on the pre-adjustment of the machine. So it is possible to reach an optimal particle size with approx. 100 x 100 mm edge length - according to experience ideal suitable for the subsequent manual sorting.
Furthermore, depending on the adjustment also bigger parts with approx. 300 x 300 mm edge length can be produced for a following machine technology.
Set free ferrous metal materials are automatically separated from the unmagnetic material. Then each material stream is fed into an own air-conditioned sorting cabin, where the manual sorting of evident harmful substances like e. g. batteries, condensers, but also of precious parts like cables, PCBs, special steel components and similar is made. Larger concrete blocks from washing machines and glass parts can also get sorted out optimal from the material flow.
The sorting cabins are located higher because of logistical reasons, so the sorted out materials can be ejected easily through the floor opening into corresponding containers. The remaining fraction after manual sorting is conveyed into a sifting and separating plant. Here the small fractions of concrete and glass particles as well as plastics and non-ferrous heavy metals are separated automatically.
